Cranfield University is the only postgraduate university in the UK. The University was founded as the College of Aeronautics in 1946 and became the Cranfield Institute of Technology in 1967. It finally got its name Cranfield University in 1993, despite having been a full university since 1969.

Cranfield University Campus
The main campus is located at Cranfield in Bedfordshire, and the second campus is the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom at Shrivenham in Oxfordshire.
The School of Aerospace, Transportation and Manufacturing, the Cranfield School of Management and the School of Water, Energy and Environment are located on Cranfield campus. There is also a wide variety of exclusive, industrial-scale research facilities.

How to Reach? Or Travel
Cranfield University campus is a 40-minute train ride from central London, with Milton Keynes and Bedford being the nearest towns. London Luton Airport is the University's closest airport, while Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted are all easily accessible by train and bus.
Cranfield Defense and Security is approximately 50 minutes by train from London, and about 25 minutes by train from Bristol. Bath, Cheltenham, Bristol and Oxford are all within an hour's drive, and less than two hours' drive from London.
