In the United Kingdom's Luton Bedfordshire, you may find the University of Bedfordshire. The University of Luton was established in 1882, but it only attained the status of a university in 1992. This university is public. Following the merger of the University of Luton and the De Montfort University campus in Bedford, the Privy Council gave its consent for the name the University of Bedfordshire to be used.
Undergraduate students will receive up to 2,400 GBP in cash from the university. The Merit Scholarship, which has a value of 2,400 GBP and is paid over three academic years, is given to applicants who have demonstrated a high level of academic accomplishment and who can earn at least 112 UCAS points. Even if a student doesn't reach this level, the institution will still offer them a scholarship and around 1,500 GBP over three academic years, or 1,000 GBP over two years if they are a top-up student getting Level 5 subsidy. The university participated in the Research Assessment Exercise in 2008 and received a GPA of 2.087 with an international success rate of 34.7 percent.
The top assessment courses included English Language and Literature, Communication, Social Work, Social Policy, and Administration. The university was granted FairTrade status as of 2012. There are four faculties: the faculties of creative arts, science and technologies, education and sports, and health and social sciences. Among the notable alumni are Richard Page and Gemma Hunt.
