University of Strathclyde is a public research university located in Glasgow, Scotland. Established more than 200 years ago as the Anderson Institute, Glasgow is the second-oldest university, having been awarded its Royal Charter in 1964 as the first technology university in the United Kingdom.

Strathclyde campus is situated in the middle of Glasgow, one of the largest and most diverse cities in the United Kingdom and a good base for exploring Scotland, the United Kingdom and Europe. Glasgow has excellent transport links and, with two international airports, is a one-hour flight from London and a short drive from the beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
Glasgow has a reputation as a cultural center: it is home to the Scottish Ballet, the Scottish Opera and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, as well as a variety of theaters and performing arts venues.
