Azusa Pacific University (APU) is a highly regarded private school of higher education in California, United States, that was founded in 1899. The Training School for Christian Workers, which was founded in Whittier in 1900, began classes with 12 pupils in 1900. In 1939, the name was changed to Pacific Bible College, and then again in 1956, when the college was renamed Azusa College. In 1965, the college amalgamated with Los Angeles Pacific College, then in 1968, it merged with Arlington College. Under its current name, the college was turned into a university in 1981 and granted degree-granting authority. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges has granted it accreditation, as well as connections with the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
APU's main campus in San Gabriel Valley is divided into two sections: the East Campus and the West Campus. Aside from that, the university has five campus locations throughout Southern California, including two regional learning centres in Monrovia and Los Angeles. Each of the locations has state-of-the-art academic, recreational, and support facilities to ensure that students have a positive learning experience. All of the primary administrative offices, academic facilities, residence halls, a student centre, and a gymnasium are located on East Campus. On this site, the Wynn Academic Centre has a 1,800-square-foot lecture hall, a conference room, a computer lab, a library, a presentation hall, two focus rooms, and 11 classrooms. The schools of education, behavioural and applied sciences, nursing, and theology are all located on the West Campus. There is an academic complex, an event centre, a playing hall, and two libraries on the property. The Segerstrom Science Centre on the West Campus, which was completed in 2009, includes a research centre, lecture hall, classrooms, laboratories, faculty offices, community areas, an electron microscope, and nuclear magnetic resonance rooms.
APU is made up of six schools and three colleges that provide more than 80 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programmes. Students can pursue degrees in the arts, business, humanities, communication, education, health sciences, political science, theology, social work, science, and mathematics, among other fields. It also offers a variety of certifications and certificate courses for professionals who want to improve their knowledge and skills while beefing up their resume. Azusa Public University International Student Admissions
The university's International Student and Services Center handles with international applicants and the international admissions process for students who want to study in the United States. The university will only accept official transcripts in an envelope sealed by the previous institution and bearing the college or university's official seal.
A cumulative 3.0 (83-86 percent) grade-point average on the posted degree is usually required for regular admission. At the time of application, applicants must give contact information for a character recommendation. International transcripts must be translated into English, have a government official approve them, and include the degree listed on the application. They must be assessed by an internationally recognised organisation. The applications are available on a rolling admissions basis with a 45 USD application fee.

Students must enrol in TESL 500 during their first term at the university, regardless of their English proficiency exam score. Students can demonstrate English proficiency at the first class session. Students can skip the class if they meet the proficiency criterion.
