Marshall University is one of West Virginia's oldest and largest public colleges and universities. Marshall University Campus
- There are over 395 student athletes at the university. Marshall University's sports team, dubbed "The Herd," stands out on the field and allows men and women equal opportunities to compete.
- The Rec offers 32 intramural sports, including soccer, basketball, flag football, dodgeball, and wiffle ball, as well as 10 club sports, including hockey, men's and women's rugby, tennis, Sports Fencing Club, men's and women's lacrosse, cycling, wrestling, and equestrian.
- More than 230 student clubs and organisations, such as the Anime and Manga Association, Climbing Club, Anthropology Club, and others, are available for students to join and be a part of.
- For the overall development of its pupils, several events for Community Outreach and Volunteer Service are held.
- The Campus hosts a variety of Adventure Recreation activities such as Aquatics, Competitive Sports, and Fitness and Wellness activities.
- After receiving a Permit, all students are permitted to bring their cars onto campus.
