NSU was founded in 1964 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as a small college with revolutionary ideas under the name Nova University of Advanced Technology and as a graduate institution in the physical and social sciences. Nova University and Southeastern University of Health Sciences merged in 1994 to create Nova Southeastern University. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Nova Southeastern University is a private institution whose main campus is located in Davie, Florida. The university consists of 18 colleges and schools offering over 150 academic programmes.
