Rowan University was established in 1923 as a public research university. Glassboro Normal School, which is now known as Bunce Hall, was the university's first campus. Jerohn Savitz, M.D. It extended its curriculum, boosted students, and added numerous buildings to its campus during the 1950s.
College of Communication & Creative Arts, College of Education, Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, College of Health Sciences, College of Humanities & Social Sciences, College of Performing Arts, Rohrer College of Business, College of Science & Mathematics, Global Learning & Partnerships, School of Health Professions, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Osteopathic Medicine, and Cooper Medical School are the 13 institutions that make up this university. This university provides 85 bachelor's degrees, 46 master's degrees, two professional degrees, and six doctoral degrees.
Glassboro, Camden, and Stratford, New Jersey, are among the campuses of this university. Geospatial Research Lab, Child Abuse Research Education and Service, Center for Behavior Analysis, New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging, CAVE Virtual Reality Lab, NeuroMusculoskeletal Institute, and Center for Research and Education in Advanced Transportation Engineering Systems are among the research centres and institutes. There are now around 19,600 students enrolled at the university, including 16,011 undergraduates, 2,417 graduates, and 1,190 professional/medical students.
The Keith & Shirley Campbell Library, RowanSOM Health Sciences Library, and CMSRU Library are among the university's three libraries. Furthermore, the online library provides subscriptions to over 55,000 online journals, as well as hundreds of other e-resources, which are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the Library website. This university's housing facilities are set across 200 acres near Glassboro, New Jersey, and include six resident halls and six apartment developments. Students can also take use of in-house food plans and dining services at these accommodation complexes.
