The Bachelor of Education Early Childhood Teaching is a new and innovative course that prepares you for registration as an early childhood teacher and as a primary school teacher, offering greater employment flexibility and versatility.
During this course, you explore issues, concepts and practices which are common and specific to both early childhood education (including before school settings) and primary school education.

Course Structure
The Bachelor of Education Early Childhood Teaching comprises two common units, a number of core theory and professional experience units and general elective units.
The course is designed to:
develop professional knowledge and skills for teaching children from birth to 12 years;
prepare for new and changing educational roles as early childhood and primary school educators;
develop reflective practitioner skills;
explore in greater depth the theory to practice nexus of early childhood and primary school education;
ensure continuing awareness of the environmental and cultural influences on teaching and learning in early childhood and primary schools; and
better understand the needs of learners and communities with diverse linguistic and cultural orientations, including Indigenous learners.
