The Diploma of Laws offers you a general understanding of the law, legal processes and legal principles, as well as an opportunity to gain the specialist knowledge you may need for work or other reasons. This program is also suitable for internationally qualified lawyers who need to complete some Australian subjects in order to qualify for admission to legal practice in Australia.
This course does not lead to professional accreditation, though students can transfer to the Bachelor of Laws degree, which is accredited with the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board of the Northern Territory, with full credit for units completed.
