Do you have a passion for the beauty industry and possess a creative, artistic spirit? The Cosmetic Techniques and Management program will prepare you to be a leader in the cosmetics, personal care and fragrance industries, giving you the competitive edge you need to launch a successful career.
You will experience weekly instruction in cosmetic application techniques, sales and marketing of beauty products and services plus portfolio development for future job opportunities. Our program uses a holistic approach, ranging from business acumen and entrepreneurial training to specialized make-up application and colour theory to skincare analysis and creative styling techniques. A strong emphasis is placed on meeting industry professional standards.
Our faculty are industry insiders who have represented prominent brands such as Bobbi Brown, Dior, Sephora, Smashbox and Clinique, and been featured on Breakfast Television for their work with the Hallowe’en Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland.
You will complete a field placement to complement your in-class learning as well as gain hands-on experience overseen by expert faculty, while working in the fully operational Durham College Spa.
