Business - Human Resources in Fanshawe College
The Fanshawe Business – Human Resources program is about finding the value in people. You'll learn business basics first - accounting, marketing and computer applications. With this HR training, you'll study labour relations, compensation, benefits, recruitment and training. In your last semester, in-class students will be mentored by people in the industry, in real HR departments. You'll make connections – networking with your classmates, professors and other HR professionals. Upon completion, you'll have developed an HR-specific career portfolio - diverse, for the dynamic HR world. These HR courses are available in a traditional in-class format, with September and January admissions or 100% online.

There are options to transfer to the Business Administration-Human Resources advanced diploma or the Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources Management) degree at Fanshawe. You can also be eligible to complete a degree program at many other post-secondary institutions or complement your diploma with a graduate certificate offered at Fanshawe College.
The Fanshawe Business – Human Resources program will also allow you to complete six of the nine required courses for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation. Students should be aware that the CHRP requirements will be changing during 2016 and CHRL requirements will be changing over the next four years. Graduates of Business - Human Resources are prepared to enter the human resources field in all sectors (e.g., manufacturing, health care, education, government). Graduates are suited to a variety of entry-level positions, including HR Administration, HR Assistant, Labour Relations Assistant, Compensation Clerk, Pension and Benefits Assistant, Payroll Clerk, Recruiter, Training and Development Assistant.
