As a professional currently practising Medical Radiation Technologist in the Nuclear Medicine, Radiography or Radiation Therapy or Ultrasound disciplines, you probably already have command of an impressive skill-set. Your skills are valuable, in demand, and relied upon for accurate diagnosing. Lives are at stake, and the powerful tools used in the diagnostic field require highly-skilled and highly trained specialists.
The most alluring aspect of this program is its flexibility. We understand you're busy. That's why the MRI program is a hybrid face-to-face/online format, so you'll be able to maintain your employment while expanding your career potential as a future MRI technologist. You'll combine in-class meetings one day per week with online learning activities, and following completion of two 16-week semesters, you'll participate in a 16-week clinical practicum at an affiliated hospital site.
Plus, if you're already employed or being sponsored by a site, you might be eligible for first priority to do your clinical practicum placement there. Along the way, you'll prepare to write the MRI National Certification Examinations as set by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). The MRI program is also fully accredited by the Canadian Medical Association and recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
