Office Administration - Executive in Fanshawe College

Today's workplaces are hives of activity, with a variety of personalities and office tools needing to be managed, scheduled and processed. If you've thought of a career that will put you in the middle of a fast-paced, people-based environment, the Office Administration – Executive program will help you master the skills employees need to make their offices run smoothly.

In our executive assistant course, you'll learn how to oversee budgets, supervise and train others, organize meetings and travel arrangements, as well as plan conferences, research ideas and produce professional documents and reports. You'll also develop your organizational skills, learn computer applications, and enhance your verbal and written communication skills as part of your executive assistant certification. You'll study the importance of leadership while attending meetings of the London chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, where you'll meet industry contacts and learn from seasoned professionals over the course of your executive assistant training.

During two co-op work terms, you'll gain experience while getting paid.

After graduation:

When you graduate from our executive assistant course, you can prepare and write exams for the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) or Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) designations. You'll also earn courses towards a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation from the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA).

In every efficient office there is a professional behind the scenes making sure everything is running smoothly. You can be that professional.
