About our photography program

Using DSLR cameras, you'll master the fundamentals of video and audio capture, as well as learning the nuances of black and white and colour digital printing systems. Experienced professional photographers teach and mentor students in photography theory and science, lighting and staging techniques, marketing and small business management. High performance laptops, digital imaging and video editing software and 24/7 access to Fanshawe's on-campus photography studio will give you a professional advantage in this creative field. Students also have access to print services and equipment loans on campus. 

Career opportunities for graduates of our photography program

Graduates find work as photojournalists, or in architectural, advertising and fashion photography. And, if you have the entrepreneurial spirit, point your camera to a career in public relations, commercial, portrait, wedding or group photography.
