Fine Art in MacEwan University
Explore your creativity. Nurture your talent. Imagine your future. In MacEwan University's Fine Art program, you gain the skills and knowledge you need to make your mark in the world of art.
In our rigorous two-year diploma program, you experiment with various art forms and grow as an artist—not only in the ways you create, but also in the ways you think about and discuss your work. Guided by instructor-artists with a diverse range of talents, you try your hand at video, extended media, drawing, digital art, sculpture, installation and painting.
We value a hands-on approach to learning that includes project-based course work, off-site visits to galleries and exhibits, the insights and experiences of visiting speakers and a combination of studio and classroom time. In this dynamic environment, you are challenged to think critically and creatively about your talent.
Your Future
In the MacEwan Fine Art program, you learn the ins and out of the local and national fine art scene. You meet and are mentored by local artists. After two years of training, you will be the proud recipient of a Fine Art diploma. What's next?
For many of our graduates, MacEwan University's Fine Art program is a first step toward a life-long involvement in the world of art. Whether you decide to continue your studies or pursue a profession, you leave the program with the training and experience you need to take that next important step.
