Agricultural Equipment Technicians diagnose, repair, modify, overhaul, service and maintain some of today’s most technologically advanced machines—tractors, combines, cultivators, seeders, sprayers.
This one-year certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic will give you the skills necessary to assemble, repair, service, and maintain various agricultural equipment. You will spend most of your classroom time in our new large shop with our experienced industry-trained instructors where you will receive an education placing you at the forefront of the technical curve. With our small class sizes, you will gain a thorough understanding of:
- air conditioning, heating and electrical
- engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, power trains
- gas welding
- harvest, hay and forage equipment
- onboard computer and global positioning systems (GPS)
- seeding, tillage, sprayers and applicators
- shop procedures and safety
