In response to high employer demand, Sheridan has developed Ontario's first four-year interaction design honours bachelor's degree. Our unique, multidisciplinary interaction design program cultivates a big-picture perspective and diverse set of skills, laying a foundation for interaction design careers and fostering entrepreneurship.

Learning Outcomes
The successful completion of this program will enable the graduate to:
- Utilize the elements of visual language (including form, visual references and affordances) to develop design concepts that meet the needs of specific user groups.
- Incorporate human factors data and models of user experience in the development of design concepts to meet human and social needs.
- Apply knowledge of material and contextual opportunities and limitations in the development of design concepts.
- Develop content for interactive products and environments that expand the boundaries of traditional design practice using text, visual, sound and motion elements.
- Situate digital devices within networks, databases and content management systems to exploit unique design opportunities.
- Develop original, individual interactive design concepts that reflect critical understanding of contemporary cultures (e.g. communications media, the built environment and socialization of the web).
- Develop innovative interaction design solutions that are appropriate for a specific purpose and/or audiences, which work within the dynamics of the target market and the restrictions imposed by the employer and/or client.
- Incorporate principles of visual narrative in visual communications.
- Incorporate the principles of motion in visual communications.
- Apply typographic skills and knowledge to the creation of original designs.
