Course summary
This course provides students with a broad scientific education. The basic concepts of the biological sciences, biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, microbiology and molecular biology are emphasised. Knowledge of environmental science, analytical techniques, quality management and bioprocessing are seen as key requirements and these disciplines are studied in detail. Laboratory work forms a substantial part of the course and classes are held in modern well-equipped laboratories.
