What is the programme about?
On the B.Sc. (Honours) in Digital Animation Production, students learn to design, create and animate for both 2D and 3D digital animation platforms such as TV, Film and Games. There is a focus on developing the learners core skills in the traditional disciplines of drawing, illustration and design with a strong emphasis on the principles of animation. Building on this foundation, learners continue to develop their creative voice while training in industry standard software, processes and technologies with the aim of bringing their ideas and concepts to life on screen.
This programme is a unique Bachelor of Science Honours Degree offering, blending traditional art practices with creative technologies to produce the future of animation talent in Ireland and abroad.
Digital Animation Production is focused on the many roles required to produce professional digital animation content with graduates seeking employment in a variety of roles from designers to animators to more technical roles such as riggers and technical artists.

Graduate Profile
Digital Animation Production graduate, Jodi Henry, whose short film 'Let's be Friends' won the prestigious Best Music/Sound Design category at Animation Dingle Film Festival 2017. Jodi completed the Digital Animation Production Degree at LIT Clonmel and her animated short was her final year project. As well as the major award, Jodi was also nominated for the Best Irish Student Animation Award.
