Programme highlights

Study to become a registered nurse with MIT.

This programme will challenge you to develop your practical, social and academic skills to make you a valuable member within any healthcare team.

Get hands-on clinical experience from day one, from learning within our state-of-the-art clinical learning suite to time in both community and inpatient clinical placements.

You will experience a broad range of culturally diverse and unique clinical experiences within community, inpatient and mental health settings.

Class sizes are small so you will build strong working relationships with your peers and teaching staff throughout your journey.

Your lecturers even visit you regularly to help guide you to link theory to practice when out on your clinical placements.

When you graduate, you'll be ready to sit the Nursing Council of New Zealand State Examination and apply for registration as a registered nurse in New Zealand.

Electronic Devices:  Wireless internet access is available to students throughout all MIT buildings. Information technology is widely used on the Bachelor of Nursing and it is a requirement for students to have a wireless device (laptop/smartphone/tablet) to maximise learning using available technology. Should you already have a wireless device please bring it with you to class once the programme commences. A specific device is not recommended, however, if you need to buy a device we advise you wait until you have seen a demonstration during your orientation. Different devices and options will be demonstrated for you to make an informed decision on which device will best suit your needs.
