Sport History, Culture And The Media MA in Bangor University

This innovative new MA programme aims to provide students with an understanding of the influence of the historical, social, political, economic and cultural diffusion, distribution and impact of sport.

Blending sport history with the study of the media, culture and society the programme draws on existing subject across the university. Students will be encouraged to think and argue critically about social, economic and political theory to explain the development and differentiation of sport throughout society, and to apply the social and cultural meanings attached to sport and the media and entertainment industries.
