Building on your undergraduate studies in sport and exercise, this Master’s Strength and Conditioning aims to develop your expertise and practical ability to prescribe, monitor and evaluate strength and conditioning programmes to optimise exercise performance and recovery.

Strength and conditioning professionals are in demand in many organisations including professional sports teams/clubs, government sports providers (eg. the English Institute of Sport), local authorities, health and fitness clubs and further and higher education institutions.
On successful completion of this course, you will be ideally placed to become a professionally accredited strength and conditioning coach working for the Home Country Sports Institutes, professional sports teams and National Governing Bodies.
You will also have the opportunity to develop a number of transferrable skills that should enable you to excel in a variety of health and fitness related careers, as a technical coaches, fitness or performance managers for sports teams, for example, or within health promotion or the broader health and fitness industry. The course's strong focus on research skills provides an ideal platform for further study at PhD level or undertaking research.
