This course will cover key areas in web design and development, including web and mobile application programming, interaction design, organisational frameworks, as well as human, cultural, and social issues. This allows you to specialise in this vibrant area while gaining a solid foundation of the broader principles of computing.

Course details

In the early stage of this course you will gain an introduction to programming, media, marketing and human-computer interaction.

You will then progress to building databases, as well as designing and programming for different domains, including mobile applications, and the web.

In year three, you will design and evaluate ubiquitous systems; physical computing, research frameworks. You will learn about relevance of storytelling and working in multidisciplinary teams on live briefs. At this stage you can choose to study with one of our international partners or to work in industry.

In your final year you will focus on user experience and information security, and will complete your honours project.
