You’ll be taught by academics and practitioners with experience in curating and publishing, who emphasize interdisciplinary thinking and enquiry within curation and visual culture. And will study areas including; contemporary curating, researching/writing about visual culture, and curating in digital contexts, learning the essential skills to work in a wide variety of contexts such as the gallery and publishing sectors, or for brands and cultural institutions.

Throughout the master’s you’ll benefit from the contribution of a range of internal and external representatives such as curators, publishers, event organisers and designers who provide excellent industry insight and examples. The University’s own art gallery space Solent Showcase also offers you the opportunity to build your awareness of professional practices and engage in hands-on research and curatorial activities.
