Management in University of Aberdeen

Management Studies is located within an integrated Business School which allows it to draw upon relevant core disciplines for research and teaching.

Research programmes have been funded by the Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC), Nuffield, Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), Scottish Home and Health Department, DTI and by a range of industrial and commercial sponsors.

Research is being undertaken in conjunction with other Departments in the University, including:

  • Public Health
  • Health Economics Research Unit

Our Research

Our department has a strong research focus on a number of key management issues. These include change, innovation, entrepreneurship, work and family, future of work, health care management, operations research, operations management and consumer marketing. 

Management studies research is integrated across five distinct research themes in our Business School. These themes are carried through into our Research Centres and current research projects.

Graduates have been successful in establishing careers in a wide range of industries and sectors and can be found in many leading industrial and financial organisations as well as universities.
