The PhD programme in Economics provides PGR students with the opportunity to follow the Doctoral Training Pathway in Economics by joining a School with an international reputation as a centre of research excellence. The School of Economics is a leading partner in two research centres, the Centre for Competition Policy – at the forefront of policy formation in competition economics internationally, with advisory links with many national competition authorities – and the Centre for Behavioural and Experimental Social Science – part of the Economic and Social Research Council Network for Integrated Behavioural Science.
