Business With Finance (extended), BA Hons in University of Greenwich
This four-year combined business and finance degree, which includes a foundation year, teaches banking sector basics, business analysis, finance and systems.
Our extended degree in business with finance is identical to the three-year degree but includes a foundation year to prepare you for the rest of your study. You'll gain essential course knowledge via a range of modules, including business management and development, sustainability and financial crises.
You will also have the opportunity to work with business professionals and/or local communities on live projects, which will provide great practical experience.
Careers and placements
Will I have a work placement?
Work placements are optional, and you are responsible for arranging your placement with support from the university.
Previous students from the three year course have secured a placement year within the NHS, Butler & Young and Computacenter.
How long is my placement?
Work placements are 9-12 months of full-time paid work. You take this between the second and third years of study.
What are the financial arrangements?
UK placement annual salaries range between £13,000-£18,000 pro rata. Some charity/voluntary work organisations offer travel costs and lunch expenses in lieu of a full salary.
What sort of careers do graduates pursue?
Graduates from this course have the same career opportunities as those graduating from our three-year programme.
Career opportunities are available with a specialist financial focus in general management within retail, consultancy, small to medium enterprises and business start-up.
Are internships available?
Internships are optional, and last for a minimum of six weeks. Gain a Certificate in Professional Practice and valuable employment experience before graduating.
