Our law degree offers a range of legal knowledge, including contract law, criminal law, public law and human rights law, plus the skills to help you succeed in the workplace.
The LLB is a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD), which is ideal for further training as a barrister or solicitor. You will study essential areas of legal knowledge such as public law (including human rights), equity and trusts, European Union law, contract law and tort law. In your final year, you choose from a wide range of specialist modules, including commercial law, intellectual property law, financial services law, and international law.
The course also equips you with practical skills for employment in different fields. Our School of Law has links to barristers' chambers and financial institutions across London, which creates opportunities within a variety of companies.

- The LLB is designed for the arrival of the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) in 2021.

Careers and placements
What sort of careers do graduates pursue?
This is a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) as regulated by the Bar Standards Board and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) under the Common Protocol Agreement.
Graduates may choose to go on to undertake the training required in order to qualify to practise as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales. They can also pursue careers in fields that require graduates with strong analytical and communication skills.
Greenwich LLB graduates have gone on to become solicitors, advocates and barristers, paralegal and legal assistants, compliance officers and underwriters. They have also pursued careers in teaching and the civil service, the financial sector and NGOs.
Do you provide employability services?
Employability activities take place all the time at Greenwich and students are encouraged to take part in as many opportunities as possible. The central Employability and Careers Service provides support for students preparing to apply for placements and graduate roles, such as CV clinics, mock interviews and employability skills workshops.
Each School also has its own Employability Officer who provides specific opportunities relevant to your own course. They work closely with professionals in the industry to ensure you are well-prepared for the workplace and have already begun to build your professional network by the time you graduate.
