Course Details

Through this course you will develop a critical understanding of the professional skills you will need as a journalist, in a world where communication technologies play an increasingly central role.

We focus on the practical skills that you will need to get a working knowledge of the media industry. You will produce magazines, news blogs and radio and TV packages, often in co-operation with local media outlets, as well as running your own blog site, offering the opportunity to showcase your work. As well as the study of print, online and broadcast journalism practices, the course is underpinned by modules exploring and honing writing techniques and skills.

Studying Multimedia Journalism as a Joint honours degree allows you to study another subject alongside. You can study them both equally, or focus on one more than the other, creating a major/minor split.
