If you’re interested in how people think and behave at work – and in helping them optimise their wellbeing and performance – this is the course for you. You’ll learn to play a key role in developing knowledge, and to influence best practice and policy in the workplace, both today and in the rapidly changing workplace of the future.

Taught by the School of Psychology and the University of Sussex Business School, you’ll gain valuable skills and knowledge in:

  • organisational design, change and development.

The course will also cover issues relevant to the future of work, bringing you the latest thinking on a range of topics such as digital connectivity, relational attachment at work, class and masculinity, attitudes to diversity, consumer psychology and modern leadership.

Accreditation and partnerships

  • This course is seeking accreditation against the requirements for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Taking a BPS-accredited course is necessary if you wish to pursue a career as an Occupational Psychologist, and work towards chartered status. Those wishing to achieve Stage 1 accreditation must hold GBC from the BPS.
  • Our professional networks include Roffey Park Institute and the Institute for Employment Studies (IES). Both are involved with our students through the provision of specialist sessions, professional mentoring and other ad-hoc opportunities.

On graduation, you’ll be well prepared for professional practice as an occupational or organisational/business psychologist in fields such as:
