The BA Integrated Health & Social Care has been designed for individuals who wish to pursue a career within health and social care in the public, private or voluntary sector.

The degree helps you to understand public policy as it relates to health and social care, and develop knowledge and skills in providing joined-up, comprehensive support services which meet people’s needs.

Understanding the interplay between integrated health and social care systems is becoming an increasingly important area of health policy, as it holds the possibility of reducing healthcare costs and providing a better experience for healthcare system users.

PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Work-based learning is an important element of this course. You will be required to undertake work-relevant learning with an organisation which you are currently employed by or volunteer with.

COURSE DETAILS

Over the course of the BA Integrated Health & Social Care you will develop your knowledge and understanding of health and social care policy and practice. You will also deepen your understanding of the work of GPs, hospitals, social work departments and practical ways in which these providers can work together to deliver a better, more joined-up service to individuals. It will also foster an interest in continuous professional development and the importance of keeping your knowledge and skills up-to-date and in line with current best practice.
