Adolescent And Special Education, Mst in Pace University, USA
Adolescent And Special Education, Mst in Pace University
With a dual certification programme in adolescent and special education, you'll learn how to teach teens in grades 7–12 who have and don't have learning differences or disabilities, as well as subject matter content such as biology, chemistry, earth science, English, history/social studies, or mathematics. Graduates of this programme will have a thorough comprehension and understanding of how to masterfully engage kids of all learning capacities.
- Obtain employment. Because of our excellent ties with local school districts, our students are recruited before they ever graduate.
- Our training blends key information and dispositions required to teach in today's modern classrooms, utilising technology to meet the unique needs of all learners, including students with disabilities and students from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
ADD OPPORTUNITIES AND EXPERIENCES
Pace University's School of Education has formed unique collaborations with multiple Westchester school districts and Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES, allowing teacher candidates to complete their fall practicum fieldwork through paid internship opportunities. In the spring, students might stay at the partnering site to finish their official student teaching requirements before returning to their paid internship employment for the duration of the semester.
Unlike other programmes, you'll be able to complete your student teaching requirements for both certificates in one semester at Pace. Gaining experience in a combined situation in as short as 17 weeks will give you an advantage.
CHOOSE YOUR CAREER
Completion of the MST in Adolescent and Adolescent Special Education will lead to the NYS Initial Certificate in adolescent education in a content area for grades 7–12, adolescent special education generalist, and an adolescent special education content area specialist.
