This Masters offers the opportunity for the critical study of film and television. This well-established programme aims to provide an advanced understanding of the approaches and methodologies in Film & Television Studies and to equip you with core research skills for advanced study in this field.

FILM CURATION MSc
This Masters in Film Curation offers you the opportunity to explore film curation in a variety of theoretical, historical and practical contexts. It investigates the material qualities of audio-visual media and explores the history and contemporary practice of projection and exhibition.

FILMMAKING & MEDIA ARTS MSc
The Masters focuses on low-budget and experimental filmmaking and media art. It is designed to provide the necessary practical and critical skills required for current and ‘future’ screen-based production.

FILM & TELEVISION STUDIES MA
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE Years 1 and 2 provide a theoretical, critical and historical grounding. At Honours you will have the opportunity to combine core and optional courses involving more specialist study via these approaches, and to explore the role of practical work in enhancing understanding of both media.
