MASTER OF ARTS IN ECONOMICS
The primary objective of the graduate program in economics is to develop economists who can meet the demand of the private sector, the not-for-profit sector, and government and are well trained in the tools of economic analysis and measurement.

Economic Development majors obtain a firm, evidence-based grounding in economic development principles and public policy issues. They analyze the problems of urban areas, develop solutions, and apply finance and analytical tools to improve urban areas.

Economics is a social science that seeks to model the behavior of economic agents (consumers, workers, firms, and government agencies) in an effort to explain the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services in a world where scarcity exists.

BUSINESS ECONOMICS MAJOR, B.B.A.
Business Economics is a specialized area of economics that uses economic and quantitative analysis to make strategic business, financial, and management decisions. Business economists study the allocation of scarce resources, and the resulting forces that shape our business, economy and society both locally and globally.
