Product Design Engineering Technology [BS]
As a Bachelor of Science in Product Design Engineering Technology student, you’ll learn the tools and skills required to go from “art-to-part.” This is a designated STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) program.

PRE-ENGINEERING
This two-year program is administered by the Pre-Engineering Studies Committee. Students planning to enroll in pre-engineering are advised to include the following in their high school programs: mathematics?four or more units, including trigonometry; and Science?three or more units, including chemistry and physics.

ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY
The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology degree emphasizes the study of industrial, production, and mechanical engineering technology principles to prepare graduates for engineering technology positions in industrial and laboratory settings.

ENGINEERING
Pre-Engineering at Eastern Illinois University is a program designed to provide the first two years of a four-year Engineering degree. The first two years of most Engineering programs have the same curricula (basic science and math) so transferring from EIU to a 4 year Engineering program is generally a smooth transition.
