Nottingham Trent University is spread across three campuses, two in Nottingham and one just outside the city, and it is one of the largest universities in the UK with 28,000 students currently enrolled. Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is a public university located in the UK city of Nottingham.
The university dates back to 1843 when it opened as the Nottingham Government School of Design. It became a polytechnic in 1970, and was granted university status in 1992.
With the motto ‘shaping futures’, NTU offers over 500 different degree programmes to around 27,000 students across three campuses (City, Clifton and Brackenhurst), overseen by nine different academic schools.

The quadrangle on campus, located next to the building where silicone was invented by Frederick Kipping, provides a quiet space for students to work and relax.
