Founded in the year 1944, the Fashion Institute of Technology is a well-recognized public university. It serves as a part of the State University of New York. This college is mainly known for its education in the disciplines such as fashion, art, business, design and communications. Mortimer C. Ritter and Max Meyer were the founders of the Educational Foundation for the Apparel Industries. After the approval of New York State Boards of Regents, it was reoriented under the present name. In the year 1959, it moved into Seventh Avenue, the heart of garment district. By the year 1979, this institution of quality education was approved to offer various other undergraduate and graduate courses by the Education Law of New York State. Of-late, there are over 10,000 students in this college. The College Consensus ranked FIT at 19th position for its online courses in the year 2019.
The FIT campus in New York City takes up an entire city block. It has nine campuses, each of which is named after someone who made a significant contribution to the college's growth. - The candidate must have earned credentials equivalent to the U.S.
- Official secondary school transcripts must be translated into English and provided directly to FIT from the respective schools. They can be mailed or delivered to the institute's address in a sealed envelope.
